Brooklyn Severe-Duty Equipment Corporation specializes in
the manufacture of standardized products designed to manage and improve the
conditions in difficult industrial, marine and military environments.
Most air-conditioning and ventilation products are made for
relatively mild conditions. As a result, in the past most harsh environments
have required expensive, specially-made equipment which can handle the
corrosive, dirty, humid, vibrating and hazardous conditions the normal
standardized equipment can not.
Since BSDE was founded by people with decades of experience
working in difficult industrial environments in many countries around the world,
we are able to design standardized products which can meet the needs of almost
all industrial applications. However, by making standardized products, BSDE is
able to combat the two biggest problems of the harsh ambients: the costs of
making special products and the delays in their manufacture.
In its air-conditioning products, BSDE has incorporated
modifications into its standardized products which will handle all but the most
severe conditions—and it does offer special products made for even those
conditions as well. The big advantages of this standardization is that it can
reduce the costs of manufacture, and therefore the prices, by as much as 70% or
even more from the costs of specially-made severe-duty units. It can also
deliver far faster and can keep the equipment in stock.
Further, standardization allows distributors to stock the
units, and it allows manufacturers of equipment such as cranes, modular
buildings, military vehicles, and mining equipment to easily incorporate the
units into their own equipment.
BSDE's research and development efforts focus on developing
products which can inexpensively improve industrial, marine and military
conditions with a minimum of maintenance. We have introduced over 40 new models
of equipment during the past year, and we continue to expand our line
aggressively.
